Using hospital-strength disinfectants, the crew of SSC Service Solutions performed a deep cleaning of each Fairfield campus and all district buses after school officials closed the campuses last week. Students returned to school Tuesday, Feb. 20.

The flu has plagued this area since the season began in September 2017. FISD Superintendent Tony Price said there were 150 absences just last week in the district.

Cleaning crews, led by SSC Service Solutions owner Cecelia “Miss CeCe” Sweeney tackled each building, beginning with the junior high school followed by elementary, intermediate, and high school campuses. Buses were cleaned Monday, Feb. 19.

Miss CeCe said her crews wiped down door knobs, desks, counters, tables, lockers, pencil sharpeners, water fountains, and more. All sports equipment and toys were also disinfected.

“Everything we think a kid or teacher touch, we're wiping it down,” she explained.
