Faith Academy of Freestone announced their first trimester honor roll recipients, as well as awards given for honorable character. Laura Lindsey and Triston McAlpine were chosen for the Honorable Character Award for showing Christ-like character qualities.

Keeping busy at Faith Academy

After opening their doors Sept. 4, Faith Academy of Freestone has welcomed nine students ranging from 3rd through 6th grade. The school opens each day with a Bible study class led by Vice President Jessica Henderson using the Apologia curriculum.

“Our intimate group is a safe place for the children to speak up, ask questions, and voice their concerns without ridicule,” said President Julie Steward. “As teachers, it is such a blessing to see the innocence and the thirst in each child to learn about God.”

On Friday mornings the classes host chapel time with worship at 8 a.m., where guests are welcome to volunteer their time to lead. Recently, the students attended

Tuesday was an exciting day for Faith Academy, a newly formed Christian school in Fairfield. Students began their first day of school Tuesday, Sept. 4, at the Christian Life Center at First Baptist Church of Fairfield. Faith Academy enrollment begins

Enrollment began last week for a new private school in Fairfield. Faith Academy of Freestone is a non-profit Christian school whose mission is to partner with parents to provide a quality, Christ-centered education to students while developing the whole child – mind, body, and spirit.

The school – housed in the Christian Life Center of First Baptist Church of Fairfield – accepts student’s kindergarten through 6th grade. The plan is to begin as a K-6 school and add a grade every year in order to retain current sixth graders until they are high school seniors.

A small group of parents have worked hard to open a new Christ-centered school for Freestone County children. Faith Academy of Freestone County is slated to open this fall and is currently taking applications for students. The school will provide a quality, Christian-based education to students and develop the whole child – mind, body, and spirit. This non-profit school seeks to partner with parents, teachers, and the community for returning God to education with a chapel and Bible classes.
