Teague man arrested for possession

Fifty-eight year-old Teague resident David Jose Glover was caught riding dirty early Sunday morning at approximately 1:27 a.m. Teague Police Officer, Jason Morgan, performed a routine stop as Glover was riding a bicycle without a headlamp. "In the city limits, it is required that a rider has to have a headlamp on any mode of transportation after dark," Teague Police Chief DeWayne Philpott said. After witnessing the rider without a headlamp, the individual then proceeded to disregard a stop sign on 4th Avenue and Main Street.

It took Teague Police Chief Dewayne Philpott and his department and witnesses only 24-hours to catch a car thief. Philpott met with Teague residents Johnny and Tanner Ledford at the Teague Police Department Tuesday, July 17, to discuss the crime. “The Ledfords reported a blue 2002 Ford Mustang had been stolen from their residence,” he reported. “The keys for the vehicle were also missing from a nightstand, which was inside an upstairs bedroom inside the residence. Clothing inside the room was strewn about.” On Wednesday morning, July 18, witness Jeff Allison, reported seeing the stolen vehicle at the Teague Lake and described a white female matching the description of the suspect Taylor McNew (aka Taylor Cobb) as the occupant. Three arrested in drug bust

The Freestone County Sheriff's Office (FCSO) and Teague Police Department joined Friday, July 13, to apprehend a subject, in Teague, with a warrant. Upon arrival at the residence, FCSO Deputies Lt. Robert Willis and Mike Darby, spoke with two male subjects, John Crundwell, 39, and Joe Lane, 47, of Teague. Lane is the homeowner of record.
