Communication key for new DA

Article Image Alt Text

Communication will be key for the newly elected county attorney who is slated to be sworn in in January. Brian Evans, who won the election with more than 2,000 votes, is possibly the youngest to take that position. “My top priority will be to ensure that my office is on the same page with our surrounding law enforcement agencies,” said the 31-year-old. “Establishing a strong sense of communication and support between my office and these agencies is paramount to effective prosecution.” Evans beat current District Attorney Chris Martin, who has held the seat for the past eight years. Evans says his approach to serving the county will be centered around upholding the integrity of the position to the best of his ability.
