Grads earn $1.4 million in scholarships

Graduates took home $1.4 million in scholarships last week following the annual senior awards ceremony. Students earned scholarships from a variety of local businesses, military, universities, and more.
Valedictorian Rowan Prihoda, who will graduate with a 5.62 GPA, was awarded a certificate of academic achievement, as well as the State of Texas Honor Graduate Certificate which authorizes the president of any state-supported college or university to provide a scholarship consisting of the payment of tuition for the first two semesters following high school graduation.
Salutatorian Jennifer Reed was also awarded the certificate of academic achievement and several scholarships.

Valedictorian Rowan Prihoda and Salutatorian Jennifer Reed were officially announced at Monday night's academic banquet. Look for an interview with them in an upcoming edition of the Recorder.

Rowan Prihoda and Jennifer Reed were named valedictorian and salutatorian, respectively, at Monday night's Fairfield High School Academic Banquet. Prihoda will graduate with a 5.62, while Reed earned her spot with a 5.50.
