Travelers group visits Pioneer Woman shop

Members of the newly formed Let’s Travel Club just returned from a 3-day trip to Oklahoma. The group traveled various Oklahoma hotspots April 9-11.

Most of the first day was spent traveling to the Tulsa area. The group had reservations at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino for the trip. Everyone found good food and great hospitality during their stay.

The second day was filled with visits to the Pioneer Woman Mercantile and Pawhuska – the big little town where the Merc is located. There was time for breakfast at the Merc, shopping at the Merc, browsing and shopping in other downtown stores, and more shopping and eating at the Merc.

Employees at Cooper Farms Country Store were pleasantly surprised Wednesday, April 11, when two celebrities stopped by to film an episode of a TV show. Norman Reedus and Sean Patrick Flannery, better known as the Boondock Saints, filmed an episode of Reedus' AMC show Ride, in which he travels the country on motorcycles with different people.

Originally, Reedus was set to film at Sam's Restaurant but canceled the day prior, according to the restaurant's manager. Since Cooper Farms is under a confidentiality contract, the owners said they will not be commenting.
