Talent show sign-up ends Monday

Get your tickets now for the 44th Annual Rotary Talent Show slated for 7 p.m. Friday, April 20, at the Fairfield High School auditorium. Talented residents can choose from four age divisions to perform. The deadline to sign up for the show is 4 p.m. Monday, April 16.

Rotary attends PETS

Two local Fairfield Rotary Club members attended a training seminar recently in which they were prepared for their upcoming roles in the club. District 5870 Assistant Governor Landis Bayless and President-elect Lynn Simpson enjoyed provocative plenary speakers, in-depth breakout sessions, and informal fellowship and networking at the Rotary Lone Star Presidents-Elect Training Seminar (PETS). This event is a joint effort of 10 Rotary International districts in the State of Texas.


Paul Harris Award given

Fairfield Rotary Club member Gene Chavers earned the prestigious Paul Harris Award -- Sapphire Level -- for his generous giving. Chavers is pictured with Club President Donna Tyus.

Rotary donates to Harvey evacuees

Fairfield Rotary Club donated $500 to Rotary District 5930 in McAllen to help with hurricane relief efforts in the Valley. In addition to this, the club is purchasing $200 worth of gasoline cards to help with local efforts for evacuees coming north from the flood and hurricane areas. Meet the new president

Fairfield Rotary Club welcomed a new president for the 2017-18 year. Donna J. Tyus was installed by Rotary Past Asst. Governor David Huffman on Tuesday, July 11. Fairfield Rotary meets at 12 p.m. every Tuesday at Sam's Original Restaurant.

Mercantile owners visit Rotary Club
