Fairfield girls HOOP Camp proves exciting

These 30 smiling girls, along with their coaches, attended FHS' annual summer basketball skills camp last week at the JAC in Fairfield. This year's camp was headed by Lady Eagle basketball coach and Girls' Sports Coordinator Sally Whitaker and her able staff.

More than three days of great basketball fun ended this past Thursday at noon, as 30 future Lady Eagle hopefuls finished their final instructions in basic roundball skills and agility training, before engaging in several exciting "hoop" contests. Leading a big cross section of basketball campers from the 1st grade all the way through the 9th were coaches Sally Whitaker, Tarsha Graves, Stacy Bachtel, Amanda Williams, Kayla Davis, Cassey Daniels, and Casey Tuerck -- along with valuable help from current Lady Eagle varsity player Josie Richardson.
