Lady Eagles head to state

Fairfield girls are advancing to the State cross country meet after winning regionals by a mere 50 points last week. The state meet is slated for Saturday, Nov. 3, at Old Settler’s Park in Round Rock. Madison Smith came in second place of the 168 runners. Other placings were:


FJH XC takes 1st

Fairfield Junior High School's girls and boys cross country teams took first place in the Grapeland event Saturday, Sept. 8, against six boys and seven girls teams. Top seven boys were Eli Castillo, 1st; Christian Serrato, 4th place;

Lady Eagles run away with title of Golden Eagle Run

Fairfield Lady Eagle runners, Madison Smith (1489) and Morgan Coleman (1475) come out of the woods in first and second place during the Golden Eagle Run on Saturday morning on their own course in Fairfield.

Fairfield's Lady Eagles cross country team ran off and left their competition Saturday, Oct. 7, at the Golden Eagle Run on their own course. The Eagles didn't do so badly, either, finishing second to Mexia. Morgan Coleman and Madison Smith finished first and second to pace the Lady Eagles to the title, 31 points ahead of second place.
