CC Farms grand opening

Jesse and Darlene Jones, owners of CC Farms, hosted a grand opening event and tasting Saturday, March 17, at Lazy Texan Trading Company in Teague. The Jones' have been in business for several years and recently opened a booth to sell their products at the Lazy Texan. Jams and jellies, pickled vegetables, dressings and salsa's make up the majority of their business. Find CC Farms on Facebook or stop by the Lazy Texan.

Market Days over? Director leaves after weekend event

Market Days Director Darlene Jones officially quit her position with the City of Fairfield following last weekend's monthly event. The City of Fairfield is now looking for someone to take control of the market. Things have been strained between Jones and the city, prompting several workshops and meetings to discuss its future. A workshop was held Monday, Jan. 22, with city council in which several vendors attended hoping to develop better marketing strategies from the council.
