Chamber director earns EDC certificate

Brenda Shultz is working to make Fairfield a better place, as well as bring in new residents and retailers. Shultz, who became the economic director for the City of Fairfield about two years ago, recently earned a certification from the Community Development Institute for economic development work.

“If it wasn't for Roy Hill I wouldn't have been confident to do this,” she said.

Currently, Shultz – who is also the executive director for the Chamber of Commerce – is working on new banners, brochures, maps, and more for the city. A new billboard recently went up on I-45 and city employees recently installed five new banners on FM 27 and five on U.S. 84 to “guide people into the city.”
