Barlow bond lowered, bail requirements set

Showing their unwavering support, numerous family members attended the bond reduction hearing last week for Ben Barlow, who was accused of attempted capital murder of a child and injury to a child. District Judge Patrick Simmons chose to lower Barlow's bond from the total $600,000 – which would require the family to place a $60,000 bail – to a total of $75,000, only requiring $7,500 bail. Simmons said the strong community ties and support of the family prove Barlow is not a flight risk and will adhere to the bond requirements.
