Larry Joe Allen, 73, of Streetman, passed away Saturday, April 26, at his home.
Larry Joe Allen was born July 8, 1940, in Tyler, to Harold G. and Geraldine Skaggs Allen.
He graduated from Forest Hill High in Jackson, Mississippi in 1957.
He attended Mississippi State at the age of 17 and acquired a Bachelor of Science degree in Poultry Husbandry.
After graduating college, Larry and Patsy (Putnam) by fate, bumped into each other

The Angelic Hosts came for Mrs. Eva Joyce Baker, 81, the wife of Charlie Baker, of Mexia, on Thursday, April 17, at Parkview Regional Hospital in Mexia, among loving family and devoted friends.
A viewing was at 10 a.m. Friday, April 25, in Moore’s Angelic Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation with the family was from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Chapel.
Funeral services were at noon Saturday, April 26, at Salem Missionary Baptist Church

Kenneth Stroade

Funeral services for Kenneth Stuart Stroade, 59, of Buffalo, were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 12, at the Walters’ Buffalo Funeral Home in Buffalo.
Freddie Jackson officiated the service and interment followed in the Siloam Cemetery, south of Buffalo.  
Pallbearers were Larry Tatum, John King, Mark Coates, Joe Taylor, Clay Thompson, Butch Dawson, Andy Talbott and David Copeland.
Honorary pallbearers were former and present TXU Dragline Crew.

Doris Fay Ivy Patrick

Doris Fay Ivy Patrick was born in the Mt. Zion Community, near Fairfield, May 9, 1926, to Johnie James Ivy and Ruby Irma Harrison.
She had one brother, J. Bradford Ivy, of Fairfield.
Doris graduated in 1942, from Fairfield High School with honors and a scholarship in music.
She attended Texas Women’s University at Denton, and graduated in 1945, at age 18, with honors and a bachelor of science degree.
She began her teaching career in Streetman where her first assignment was
