Funeral services for Mr. Don McCeig were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, at Bowers Funeral Home, with Bro. Steve McCeig, Mr. McCeig’s nephew, officiating.
Interment followed the services at Dew Cemetery.
Visitation was held Wednesday with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. McCeig passed away Monday, Nov. 3, at East Texas Medical Center in Fairfield.

A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, at Moore’s Angelic Funeral Home, 406 Monroe Street in Teague.
Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at Moore’s Angelic Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dwayne Nemons officiating.
Interment with military honors will follow at Antioch Cemetery in Teague.

Janet McDonald Patterson

Janet McDonald Patterson, 70, departed her earthly life Oct. 28, in Palestine.
A graveside service was held at 10 a.m. in the Post Oak Cemetery in Fairfield Friday, Oct. 31.
Officiating the service was Bobby “Bubba” Rutherford.
The opening prayer was given by Janet Bulger and special music, “The Lords Prayer,” was provided by Don Thornton.
Honorary pallbearers were Frank Parker, Joe Tom Hancock and the FHS Class of 1962.

Harold Mooney, Jr.

Harold Mooney

Harold Mooney Jr., 90, of LaCygne, Kansas, the son of Harold and Mabel Hahn Mooney, died Sept. 30, at the Louisburg Healthcare Center.
He was born April 3, 1924, on the family farm northeast of LaCygne in rural Linn County, Kansas.
His first eight years of school he attended New Home, a one-room school house, and later graduated in 1942, from LaCygne Rural High School.
On July 29, 1944, Harold married Vivian Fannan in Olathe, Kansas.
They bought the neighboring farm east of where Harold was born, and raised two sons, Larry and Robert Mooney.

Bishop Tyree Gatson, Sr.

Bishop Tyree Gatson, Sr. was born December 22, 1926, in Fairfield, to Willie and Verila Gatson.
Tyree had a long and productive life. He was a proud World War II veteran, Christian, minister, outdoorsman, and a devoted husband and father.
Those who were touched by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives.
His gentle smile and caring heart brought much joy to his family.
Tyree gave us all such courage and hope, and reminded us of the preciousness of life.

Frank O'Banion

Frank O’Banion, 80, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Monday, Oct. 6, with his family around him.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, at First Baptist Church in Cross Plains, Texas.
Visitation was from 5 to 6 p.m. Wednesday night at Higginbotham Funeral Home in Cross Plains.
An additional visitation was held from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday in the parlor at First Baptist Church for out of town guests to greet the family prior to the service.
Frank Jennings O’Banion was born August 17, 1934, to Guy Frank and Nettie Gertrude Wilkerson O’Banion in San Antonio.
