Chlois Gene Smith

Chlois Gene “Smitty” Smith, 88, of Fairfield, passed away in Temple, at Scott and White Continue Care on Monday, Feb. 9.
He was born in Turnersville, Texas, to Davis Smith and Bertha Rushenburg Smith on Dec. 31, 1926.
Chlois served his country during World War II in the United States Army as a Paratrooper and later in the Merchant Marines.
He enjoyed wood working, restoring old cars and hunting with his family.
He was a 32 Degree Mason, 32 Degree Scottish

Interment followed the services at Little Flock Cemetery near Jewett.

She was a beloved wife, daughter, mother and grandmother.
She attended grade school at Fair Oaks School, ninth and tenth grades at Mexia High School, and eleventh and twelfth grades at Groesbeck High School,

A memorial service for Leslie R. Bonner, 79,of Bullard, will be held at the Emerald Bay Community church with Dr. Darryle Dunks and Reverend Patrick McCoy officiating.
The graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6, at the Bonner Cemetery in Steward’s Mill.  
Mr. Bonner passed away with Parkinson’s disease on Jan. 31, in Tyler.
