XTO employees, Big T’s Buddies raise money for autism

Big T’s Buddies and XTO Energy employees gathered for a picture to be published in XTO’s company-wide magazine The Flow Line. XTO is a sponsor of Big T’s Buddies.

What began as an effort to honor a lost co-worker’s memory could someday improve the lives of hundreds of families of children with autism in and around Fairfield.
Over four years, $160,000 has been raised in memory of Terry Lair, a former production foreman in XTO’s Eastern Division.

Calpine donates $64,980 to children’s home

The Calpine Corporation hosted a golf tournament fundraiser and designated the proceeds to four organizations, including Pleasant Hills Children’s Home. The Calpine Corporation donated $64,980 to Pleasant Hills Children’s Home March 5. This is a tremendous blessing as the Home is a non-profit operated by donations. Girls Little Dribblers hold fundraiser

Fairfield Girls Little Dribblers board members set up on the courthouse square Friday selling chicken spaghetti to raise money for their teams. By noon they had sold 25 plates of chicken spaghetti. There are 36 girls this year in the juniors, majors and seniors teams. They have played four games and are currently undefeated. Primary decides county, district clerks

Freestone County Republican March 4 primary voters returned incumbent County Clerk Linda Jarvis to another four years in office.

No court progress shown on TCLEOSE indictments

A year has passed since the arrest and indictment of Freestone County Sheriff Don Anderson and Captain Travis Robertson with no progress in either case.
The pair was charged with tampering with a governmental record, from Sept. 13, 2011 to Dec. 13, 2012, after a lengthy investigation into the department by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officers Standards and Education (TCLEOSE).
