Fireworks stand owner Evan Simpson knows the biggest rush is yet to come.

The trailer parked beside his fireworks stand at the intersection of FM 27 and Interstate 45 in Fairfield is full of boxes yet to be unpacked. Although his inventory still needs constant replenishing as customers drop by, the family-run stand will be its busiest on July 4, after the big fireworks show that evening.

His cousin and coworker, Riley Simpson of College Station, explains.
