Billie Carroll Brim, 73, of Fairfield, passed away Saturday, February 2, in Waco. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 6, at Cowboy Heritage Church of Freestone County with Bro. Jimmy Cotton officiating. Interment followed at Fairfield Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ian Cruthirds, Chris Trotter, Milton Carroll, B. D. Owens and Johnny Carroll. Billie Carroll Brim was the sixth of 12 children born to Jack and Grace Guyton Carroll on August 7, 1945. At Fairfield High School she was a class favorite and a basketball queen. She married Jerry Brim in 1964, and they followed his coaching career across all corners of Texas. She was proud to be Coach Brim’s wife, and together they were the parents of two daughters, Rachel and Amanda. She worked many years in the refineries in and around Baytown, and eventually retired from Brown & Root after many years with the company. Billie was known for her lightning-quick sense of humor, but even more for her loving heart and generosity to those she loved. She was a wife, a mother, a sister and a good friend.
