Thanks to concerned family members one girl is safe and a 37-year-old Teague woman is being held in the Freestone County Jail on a $250,000 bond. Amber Michelle Parker, a Mexia ISD reading teacher, was arrested Wednesday, Jan. 2, after an investigation showed she was attempting to sell an underage female relative to multiple men in Morocco.

Justice of the Peace 4 Judge Shirley Mays originally set Parker’s bond at $25,000. Mays was unavailable for comment as of presstime Tuesday. No attorney has been listed for Parker.

Parker has been charged with trafficking a child-engaging conduct/sexual – a first degree felony, according to jail records. Reports show the suspect was arrested by Freestone County Deputy David Graham about 6:27 p.m. Wednesday.

District Attorney Brian Evans said Monday Parker could face up anywhere from 5 to 99 years in prison.

Freestone County Sheriff Jeremy Shipley said the arrest was the result of a joint investigation between FCSO Sgt. Preston Cordova and McLennan County Sheriff’s Detective Joseph Scaramucci.

The probable cause affidavit states Scaramucci spoke Dec. 26 to a family member of Parker’s, who wanted to report possible sex trafficking in Freestone County and Scaramucci called FCSO Capt. Steve January for assistance.

YRaider added a man identified as SaaDas Hisoka to the conversation and Parker began discussing the possibility of the two coming to the United States to engage in sexual intercourse with both Parker and the victim, reports show; however, after Parker indicated the victim is a virgin and provided her age, the men attempted to get Parker and the victim to travel to Casablanca, Morocco.

The affidavit goes on to state the two men began separate conversations with Parker. Scaramucci reported in the affidavit “while observing communication with SaaDas Hisoka, I observed that Victim I was sending sexually suggestive photographs, including one in panties, one in a shirt, and others in lingerie, one of which has her breast partially exposed in her hand. They further discuss the male traveling to the area and engaging in sexual acts.”

Scaramucci also reported while interviewing the victim “it was determined that Parker was the individual taking the photographs. She stated that
