Graveside services for Ayers Moore were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29, at Greenwood Cemetery in Teague with Rev. Paula Behrens officiating. Visitation was held on Monday prior to the service from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Bowers Funeral Home. Mr. Moore passed away Friday, October 26, at his residence in Fairfield. He was born in Dew on May 29, 1919; one of 12 children born to William and Emma Pearl Moore. Mr. Moore graduated from Teague High School with the class of 1938. After high school, he entered into service with the U.S. Army and married Anita Carol West on April 19, 1942, and shared over 58 years of marriage together before being separated by her death on August 4, 2000. Mr. Moore was deployed overseas during World War II for 39 months. He served with the 5th Army Div. under General Mark Clark
