Early voting begins

Polls opened Monday morning, Oct. 22, for early voting in the November election. Early voting is slated to continue through Friday, Nov. 2, across the county.

Early voting ballots can be placed at the following times and locations:

  • Fairfield Conference Center, 839 E. Commerce – Monday-Friday, Oct. 22 through Nov. 2, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27
  • Teague City Hall, 105 S. 4th Street – Monday-Friday, Oct. 29-Nov. 2, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Butler Community Center, FM 489 E. – Wednesday, Oct. 24, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Dew ISD, Hwy. 179 and FM 489 – Wednesday, Oct. 24, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Southern Oaks VFD, 120 Southern Oaks Dr. – Saturday, Oct. 27, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Wortham Community Center, E. Main Street – Saturday, Oct. 27, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Locally there is only one contested race, but there are also several statewide contested races on the ballot including:
