Fairfield Eagles took their second consecutive win of the season Friday night against the Brownsboro Bears, with a final score of 55-28. The football team will begin their third district game at 7:30 p.m. this Friday, Sept. 14, at the Athens High School football stadium.

“Athens is really big and physical,” said Head Coach John Bachtel. “They will run the ball over 80 percent of the time. We will have to match their energy level. For this game, we will have to be quick and tough.” The team has already begun their preparation for the game this Friday.

“We need to do a better job of trusting ourselves,” said Bachtel. “Reading our keys on defense and trust what they are telling us. Trust what we are doing on each play on offense and doing it to the best of our ability.” Fairfield stayed with Brownsboro throughout the first and second quarters, ending the first half with 21-21.
