Mrs. Vicy Beachum Kirven was born September 29, 1923 to the parentage of Clarence Beachum and Katherine Silmon Beachum in Delia Community, Limestone County, Texas. She passed away Thursday, Aug. 2, at her home in Sandy Community, Coolidge, Texas. Visitation is Friday, Aug. 10, from 1 to 7 p.m. at Moore’s Angelic Funeral Home and a Wake Service with the family present is slated for 6 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held with Eastern Star Rituals at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, at the All Faith Chapel - Mexia State Supported Living Center Chapel Drive, Mexia, Texas 76667 with Pastor Henry Chambers Jr., officiating. Interment will be in the Sandy Creek Cemetery in Coolidge. She was a member of the Sandy Grove Primitive Baptist Church in Coolidge. On July 19, 1942, she married the love of her life, Mr. Moses Kirven. To this union, they were blessed with 13 children. She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Moses of 65 years; two sons, William “Pete”, and Earnest Kirven. She was also preceded in death by: her brother, Deatrice Beachum; three sisters, Pearl Moseley, Rachel Stephens, and Lena Kirven. Mrs. Kirven was a housewife for many years. She was a pillar of strength and a very hard worker. She was a disciplinarian, but a very nurturing Mother to her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and was truly loved by all.
