Calvary feeding community during Celebration

A Fairfield church is offering a host of events and activities Saturday, March 31, as they participate in the citywide Resurrection Celebration event. Calvary Baptist Church has activities planned at the church from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and every member of the family will find something to enjoy. For a second year, church members will be providing a free catfish dinner with all the trimmings. Last year’s event was regarded as a tremendous success as more than 400 people were served a fried catfish meal. Plenty of tables will be provided for everyone to enjoy the sit-down meal and fellowship with old friends and make new acquaintances. Live music will once again be part of the celebration outside Calvary’s Life Center complex. Children will have numerous games to participate in with plenty of candy given by church members. Many of the church’s well-known bakers are providing cakes for a cake judging contest.
