Watch your speed!

With the new school year looming, a speed radar has been deployed by Fairfield Police Department to allow students to safely commute to school. City council approved the purchase of this equipment several weeks ago in an effort to curb speeding on Reunion Street and other residential areas. Police Chief Kenny Bulger says the radar will be “regularly deployed in school areas.” The radar can track speeds up to two blocks away. An officer will be stationed near the radar when deployed.
