Only one week until Tribute

There is only one more week to get your tickets to the George Strait Tribute, sponsored by the Fairfield History Club. The event is slated for 7 p.m. Saturday, April 2, at the FHS auditorium, with a meet-and-greet scheduled to follow at the Moody Bradley House.

Impersonator Derek Spence, of Nacogdoches, spent years performing all over from Fiesta Texas to the Grand Ole Opry.

Two major labels are said to have turned him down because he looked so much like George Strait. Spence earned a degree in performing arts production in 1993 from South Plains College. His music experience includes bandleader, vocal instructor, lead guitarist, vocalist, and producer/director.

Tickets for this event are $30 for general admission; $50 for general admission including a meet and greet with Spence at the Moody Bradley House in Fairfield.
