Teachers create Team Turner to help student

Following a horrible accident, Peyton Turner has returned to school and is “doing great,” said his teacher, Donna Jones.
While his dad, Marcus, was mowing the lawn, Peyton’s heel was cut off when he reached for a ball that had gotten too close to the lawnmower.
The seven-year-old spent three weeks in Dallas’ Children’s Hospital following a muscle and skin graft. He will require extensive and on-going physical therapy.
“They cut a chunk from here,” Peyton explained, pointing to his thigh. “And they put it on my heel like a pad.”
