‘Alamo’ days are numbered as FBC plans for children center

What’s known locally as the Alamo – the former First Baptist Church sanctuary built in 1948 – is being dismantled to make way for a new children’s building.
First, the church has to remove asbestos – although only a small amount has been discovered – then will proceed with demolishing the structure.
That work includes the sanctuary and nursery building,
