Freestone county sheriff’s deputies executed a search warrant Monday morning and arrested a man on two counts of online solicitation of a minor.

The arrest took place at 8 a.m. at a residence on FM 416 near Richland- Chambers Reservoir.

Charged is Ervin B. Scovel, 62.

In addition to the arrest, several electronic devices and digital storage devices were siezed as evidence, Sheriff Ralph Billings reports.

Warrants were issued by Peace Justice Theresa Farris, precinct one.

Deputies participating in the search and arrest were Thomas Hendrix, Jeremy Shipley and Travis Robertson.

Scovel is in jail under bonds totaling $50,000.
