The Lady Eagles hosted the Brownsboro Bears and played on the Hillsboro Lady Eagles home court.

The loss came in a hard fought match that seesawed through five games before it concluded.

Fairfield lost the first game 11-25, won the next two handily 25-18, 25-18 and lost the fourth 23-25 to throw the contest into a tiebreaker.

In the tie-breaker the Lady Eagles fell short 11-15.

On the front row, senior Robin Davis hit 14 kill shots, senior Kendall Dotson hit four and Melissa Lopez and Amy Lansford got three each.

Assists were provided by Shelby Wickens, 17, and Kathleen Chappell, eight.

Top servers were Miss Wickens (4 aces) and Miss Davis (3 aces).

Defensively, Miss Davis made two digs.

Picked all-around player in the match was Miss Davis.

The Lady Eagles evened out the week Friday against another group of Eagles from Hillsboro.

The FHS crew took the decision in a match minimum three games 25-20, 25-21, 25-11.

Hitting kill shots were Davis, 7; Dotson, 5; Lopez, 4; and Lansford, 2.

Providing assists were Miss Wickens, 12, Mackenzie Wooten with four and Miss Chappell, three.

Top servers were Fruncheska Daniels (8 aces) and Ashlee McGowan (2 aces).

On defense, Erica Flori made two digs and Miss Davis got one.

Top all-around player in the match was Miss Dotson.
