Subvarsity girls win 3 matches

Subvarsity Lady Eagles volleyball teams won three of four matches last week against Waco University and Ferris.

The Fairfield high school teams hosted both schools.

Lady Eagles junior varsity spikers started the week with a victory in two games against University 27-25, 25- 11.

In the Ferris match, the Fairfield jv again won in two games 25-23, 25-16.

Leading hitters for the week were Bre Bossier, Andrea Griffin, Emilia Adu, Kassie Floyd, Sarah Sloat, Ashley Missildine and Mikeshia Hudson.

Best defensive players were Ashley Kethley, Amanda Drake, Jillian Peterson, Tiara Tatum and Katie Gardner.

Top setters were Miss Floyd and Natalie Neill.

Most consistent servers were Misses Neill, Drake, Floyd, Kethley and Gardner.

Fairfield frosh won the first game with University 25- 20, then lost the next two 11-25, 23-25 to drop the decision.

Leading hitters were Bre Faughn, Taylor Gray, Sam Walls and Karonesha Lowery, with sets provided by Kayli Banks and Miss Gray.

Best defensive players were Haylee Worley, Brooklyn Childs and Misses Lowery and Banks.

Most consistent servers were Misses Lowery, Faughn and Banks.

Picked best all-around were Misses Banks and Lowery.

The Lady Eagles frosh beat the Ferris Lady Yellowjackets the first game 25-11, lost the second 17-25 to tie the match and won the third in overtime 28-26.

Leading hitters were Misses Faughn, Lowery, Walls and Gray, with sets provided by Misses Banks and Gray.

Best defensive players were Misses Worley, Lowery, Banks, Faughn and Taylor Thorne.

Most consistent servers were Misses Childs, Walls, Lowery and Faughn.

The subvarsity teams were scheduled to host Brownsboro early this week, play at Hillsboro on Friday, play in a tournament in Centerville on Saturday and head to Franklin on Tuesday.
