Funeral services were held Wednesday at Griffin- Roughton Funeral Home in Fairfield for Michael E. Hunter, 59, of Donie, who died Aug. 27 in Tyler. Interment followed at Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery.

Hunter was born Jan. 15, 1951 in Houston to Maxie and Eloise Christian Hunter.

He is survived by wife Lillie Hunter of Donie; children Nancy Cushley and husband Bryan of Aurora, IL, Jeri Hunter of Teague, Maxi Wilson- Lewis and husband Nick of Irving; sister-in-law Lori Armstrong and husband Lee of Barry; grandchildren Michael and Christian Hunter, Lia Wilson.

Officiating services were Rev. David Filis and Rev. Tim Ruland.

Pallbearers were Josh Hart, Justin Hart, Trent Neeley, Levi Kinnard, Trent Turner, and Daniel Filis.
