Community National Bank and Trust of Texas, headquartered in Corsicana, acquired the Red Oak branch of Jefferson Bank last week.

CNB has locations in Corsicana, Fairfield, Frost, Buffalo and Richland- Chambers Reservoir.

The bank is owned by Community Bank Holdings of Texas and has assets of $350 million.

Red Oak Bankers Jerry Watson, Carol Farris, Faith Phillips and Teresa Young will remain with the bank.

“Our top priority is to make this a smooth transition for our new Red Oak customers,” CNB chief executive K.C. Wyatt says.

“We’ve been part of the Central Texas banking scene for over 45 years, earning a reputation for quality personal service, competitive banking products and heavy community involvement,” Wyatt says. “We intend to continue this tradition as we bring community banking to Red Oak.”
