Lady Eagles frosh win tourney crown

Fairfield freshmen Lady Eagles spikers posted a perfect week with a dual match win and a tournament championship title.

The Lady Eagles hosted Waco Connally early last week and won the 11th annual

Teague Lady Lion frosh tourney Saturday.

Against the Connally Cadettes, the FHS squad edged out an overtime win 28-26 the first game and won the second 25-18 to take the match.

Leading hitters for Fairfield were Bre Faughn, Tiara Tatum, Kayli Banks and Taylor Gray, with assists provided by Madison Alexander and Haylee Worley.

Best defensive players were Karonesha Lowery and Misses Banks, Gray, Alexander and Worley.

Most consistent server was Miss Tatum.

The Lady Eagles started their tourney run against Hillsboro, winning in two games 25-19, 25-23.

Leading hitters were Misses Faughn, Lowery, Tatum and Sam Walls, with Misses Banks and Gray providing assists.

Top defensive players were Misses Lowery, Worley, Walls and Chelsea McQueen, and most consistent servers were Misses Gray and Banks.

Best all-around player was Miss Banks.
