Sheriff's Report Number 502- TPD Reed and Martin, Deputies Elom and Robertson and DPS Jones to altercation between two women, US-84 in Teague, one to Jail, Disorderly Conduct. Believe the problem was over a disagreement about a parking spot. Deputy Shaw to FM- 489, someone believed to have attempted a break-in. More of same on East San Saba, WPD Keathley to same. U-Haul truck passing through County north bound…..Reportedly a pair of feet sticking out of the rear door, Navarro County S.O. notified. Since heard no more on it, probably a prank.
Deputy Elom to smell of Natural Gas on US-84, apparently dissipated prior to his arrival. FEMS to Post Oak Road, older Lady fell, injured back. Also to Davis, Lady with hip pain, can't walk. Kirvin and Fairfield VFD's to car on fire near propane tank, FCR- 1270. TPD Howard to dog bite victim carried to ETMC. Call from Oakwood says need Police there pretty quick, transferred call to Leon Co. S.O. Growling dog in neighborhood on Maple.
Smoke coming from 18- Wheeler on side of IH-45, Mile 189, Dew VFD to same. FEMS to FCR-232, Lady with chest pains. DPS Adams assists two Ladies broke down on IH-45. Mister Elom to another like call in front of Country Club. 43 year old man missing, FCR-508, located in Fairfield, back home. TPD Cordova to loud music, S. 5th, 3AM in morning. More of same on FCR-540, Dep. Elom to same. DPS Adams to vehicle/ hog accident, US- 84.Loose cow, FM-2777, owner to check.
FPD advised of report of loud verbal disagreement on S. Bateman. More loose cows on FM-80, owner contacted. FPD and Deputy Elom to power line knocked down, FM-27 and Sunset.
Another Tragic Accident in County on East 84, two young people killed, DPS Adams, Deputies, Fairfield VFD, FEMS to same, JP Farris present for Death Inquest. TPD Cordova assists Lady with dead car battery, Brookshire Bros. TPD Martin and Cordova, and Deputies Elom and Aldrich to report of people on building roof report, Teague High, five juveniles found hiding in classroom, School Principal and Parents called. 911 in from Limestone, employee at Mexia State School sees/smells smoke in one of the buildings.
FEMS to FM-488, possible stroke, 83 year old. Oakwood VFD and FEMS to private residence off Leon Co Road 215, Lady no doing well after recent surgery. Teague child on N. 3rd enroute to Children's Hospital by Doctor Chopper with assistance from Teague VFD and THDEMS, breathing troubles. Calves on Service Road, Mile 206, possible owner contacted to check. FEMS to Williford, Lady on walker fell, struck head and knee. Complaint of log trucks on FCR-296.
FPD Markham to Jail with motorist with outstanding Fairfield Traffic Warrants. DPS Adams at Mile 199, gets another, Parole Violator. WPD Peters to cow/vehicle accident, Wortham. Also to Concho, ex-boyfriend took Lady's things while asleep. TPD Cordova dispatched to report of kids throwing eggs at cars, US-84. FPD Green jails Lady motorist, invalid DL. Deputy Clayton Aldrich arrests man at Kirvin residence on warrant. Deputy Brewer to assault Family Violence on Winding Way, one arrested.
Problems on PR-645, one person using another's trash dumpster without permission. Now it is full, no place for those who are paying for the dumpster to put their trash. WPD Keathley to CEFCO on report man stealing at store. Deputy Robertson to house on FCR-531, box fans not now in windows as left, had been moved, nothing stolen.
FPD Albert Gallegos arrests Lady on S. Bateman on charge of Deadly Conduct. Fairfield VFD to grassfire, Mile 199. TxDOT advised of tire carcass in middle of traffic lane, Mile 187. Man on FCR- 670 calls, thinks he is having heart attack, Few VFD and FEMS to same. Loose cattle, Mile 206. 4-Wheeler problems on FCR-1260, three or four kids all on one machine, driving way too fast, caller nearly hit them, Deputy McGowan to same.
Report from FCR-1220, once again a Lady going door to door, asking folks for opportunity to come in and vacuum their carpets. Just like last week. Deputy Brewer dealing with report of theft at residence on FCR-1260. Also to Mile 196 with Fairfield VFD on car on fire.
Man arrested by Deputies, FCR-700, Unlawfully Carrying Weapon. Deputies and myself tied up several hours on executing Search Warrant on FM-489, stolen travel trailer, Jeep and 4- Wheeler seized. Former employee of rental company still in possession of company trailers and truck, Deputies locate, make arrangements for transfer back to business. Suspicious lights on in house on N. 10th….vacant, TPD Martin to same.
WPD to East San Saba on report of Indecent Exposure by male in front yard. Need Police in Oakwood on Love Street, Leon county S.O. advised. FPD Kindon jails motorist on East Main, No Insurance, DL Invalid, Fictitious License Plate. Father/Mother/Son Troubles on Spruce, one to Jail by TPD Martin, Interfere With Emergency Call and Assault Family Violence X2.
Deputy Aldrich to loose goats, US-84. Report of car horn blowing in area of Hwy. 179 for 15 minutes, Deputy Aldrich to same, all he hears is bullfrogs. FEMS to Boyd Unit, employee with possible heart problem. FPD to loose cattle on Travis Street. Another reported in Buffalo, Leon Co. S.O advised of that one. Dep. Aldrich to Peeping Tom report on FCR-1220, said they tapped on window, drove across two yards in pickup.
Door kicked in, guns and TV stolen on FCR-300 while man and woman at work, Deputies Aldrich and Willis to same. FPD Kindon arrests man on Heather, multiple Warrants. Prisoner Transport from Van Zandt County on Bench Warrant. Deputy Elom to FCR-301 on disappearance of flat-bottomed boat, post driver and hay spear on weekender ranch, one seen in February, another in July, locks not cut.
Smell of natural gas reported between Teague and Fairfield, Atmos advised they had odorized a plant this morning, Fairfield VFD to area, with Atmos, can find nothing. FEMS and Kirvin VFD to FCR-969, assist Lady after a fall.
Someone handed me a bit of trivia from the InterNet- This concerns the month of August 2010. This particular August has 5 Sundays, 5 Mondays and 5 Tuesdays, all in the same month. This event , according to the article, happens only once every 823 years.

Tragic housefire on S. 8th, Teague, Kirvin, Dew, Donie and Fairfield Firemen all involved. Luckily no deaths, but understand a passerby averted that. Multiple generations of family heirlooms now gone. Deputies Harrison and Yancy to lock cut, US-84. Deputy McGowan puts up loose cow, FCR-496.
Deputies, Teague PD, DPS, TDC all involved in manhunt north of Hwy-179 on Saturday morning early hours. Still waiting for gathering of evidence, but unsure now that anything really happened. A carjacking and kidnapping claim from the Houston area.
To 4-H Annual Awards Banquet on Saturday evening with a large group present. This is, as we all know, a sterling youth organization which gets our youngsters involved and off in life on the right foot. We have seven clubs within our County and some very dedicated Adult Leaders for each. County Agent Nick Hoffman…..You have a very good group! You've done well!
DPS Sandifer and Adams to accident, North 75. Deputies digging deep on case of large number of cattle sold, coupled with false collateral, involving two separate victims. The other party managed to pay his indebtedness, with other two parties much relieved. This involved a half million dollars between the two.

Dispatcher has male caller from Oakwood on line attempting to transfer him to Leon County S.O., said he needs help, then line dead. Leon County S.O. to pick it up from there. THDEMS to possible seizure at Teague High. Wortham and Kirvin VFD's to hay fire, FM-27. Teague to car on fire, US-84.
Folks, it is very hot and very dry. At this writing, there is no Burn Ban but feel this will have to be considered pretty quick. Be very careful with small usage of fire…..and personally would not consider a large one right now. Wait for a rain…..Make sure there is no Burn Ban….Then burn.
