Students throughout Freestone county return to classes next week for the start of the 2010-11 term.

Classes get underway Monday in Fairfield, Teague, Wortham and Dew.

Teachers went to work this week to get classrooms ready for the year.

First day off for students and teachers is Monday, Sept. 6, for Labor Day.

An open house at the new Fairfield intermediate school is set for 6 p.m. Thursday and includes dedication ceremony for the facility.
