WHS graduate completes mission

Army Reserve 2nd Lt. Willis R. Daniels Jr. participated in a 3-week annual training mission to perform renovation and restoration projects of coastal artillery parapets at the Hawaii Army Museum in Waikiki, Hawaii.

Daniels is an engineer platoon leader regularly assigned to the 284th Engineer Company based in Seagoville.

The Reserve officer has served in the military for 12 years.

He is the son of Willis R. Daniels Sr. and Christine Daniels of Wortham.

Daniels graduated in 1999 from Wortham high school and received an associate of science degree in 2006 from Navarro College.

He earned a bachelor of science degree in 2008 from Texas A&M University, Commerce.
