by Ralph Billings Sheriff's Report Number 501- Black bull out again, FCR-601. 18 Wheeler north bound on IH-45 at Streetman, rig on fire but apparently driver does not know it, Navarro County S.O. advised so can be stopped and advised. Family Troubles on FCR-301, husband drinking, left in car. THDEMS to FM-1365, Lady got too hot. Yep, this kind of weather'll do that; need to stay in the shade all we can.
Cars blocking the parking lot at Teague Fire house, TPD Reed to same. Call comes in on aggressive Pit Bull on N. Mount. Butler VFD assisting a Lady after a fall, FCR-261. Multiple vehicle accident, both north bound lanes blocked, IH-45, Mile 193, DPS Adams, Deputies Brewer and Harrison, Dew VFD and FEMS all to same. Fortunately, no injuries involved. THDEMS to abdominal pains, FCR-611.
Dew VFD and FEMS to FCR-414, older Lady disoriented. BN Railroad advised of equipment damage at crossing, FCR-868. Deputy Harrison to Boyd Unit to inform employee of death of family member. TPD Howard to Family Troubles on S. 5th. Complaint of gravel truck blocking other's view on Main, TPD Howard to same. Man on South 75 has 4-Wheeler when goes to bed, awakes to find it has been stolen, Deputy Aultman to same. After all this, same man leaves to go to Buffalo and views his 4- Wheeler in pasture directly across 75 from his house. All is now well with the world, he continues on to Buffalo, leaving the 4-Wheeler in neighbor's pasture, much relieved…..Shortly afterward he returns from Buffalo….You guessed it….4-wheeler gone again, Dep. Howerton to make this second call.
To Dew School on Saturday for Dew VFD's Grand Soiree and Barbecue Fund Raiser. Mighty good eatin'. Had a good visit with Mrs. White, Charlie much improved over a few weeks ago. Plenty of homemade 'Nanner Puddin', which is always a hit with me. Next date bumped into Mrs. Don Schill who had just returned that day from Hawaii. She and family members had left Don at home to take care of things, hung their thumb in the air and turned up on Oahu. She allowed that it was not too easy any more keeping up with teenagers. Imagine that!
FEMS to FHS, 15 year old athlete having severe cramps. TPD Howard to US-84, unwanted visitor. Problems on FCR-941, one Ex won't let the other leave. Deputy Brewer to calf shot, T-Posts stolen, FCR-640. Navarro Co. S.O. advised of event in their County, unsolicited advances. WPD Peters to report of Burglary on N. 3rd. Multiple Deputies to FM-27 on report man possibly beating woman on side of road. Deputy Howerton to FCR-161, Lady with unwanted feller.
Loose cattle west of Donie, Hwy. 164. Deputies to FCR- 950, Lady reportedly pulled gun on oilfield worker. FEMS to FHS, another case of severe cramps by young athlete. THDEMS to FM-1366, heart problems. Butler VFD to small grassfire, 79 and 84. Call comes in, Mom waving gun around on Bateman, FPD to same. TPD Martin and Reed to S. 10th, Lady thinks man lurking around outside. Dew VFD to Lanely, Breaker Box Troubles.
Report says dog stolen at Shell in Wortham, WPD to same. THDEMS to N. 4th, seizure troubles. Streetman VFD to Streetman Exxon, person dehydrated. Cell call from Palestine advises big truck dragging a steel ramp on US- 79 in front of WalMart, Anderson county S.O. advised. Loose cattle, FM- 2547, Dep. Elom gets them penned. Donie VFD to grassfire, Hwy. 164 by mine. Man turns self in to start serving Jail Time.
FEMS to Mile 204, man disoriented, diabetic problems. DPS Sandifer to Hwy. 179, car/deer/ fence wreck. Deputy Aultman assists Lady, Mile 189, out of gas. Man on FCR-925 having troubles with others, No Trespass Notice issued. THDEMS and Dew VFD to FCR-670, shortness of breath. Deputies to night-time family troubles in Dew area. Man buys 40 ft. heavy duty trailer from another County resident in March, information develops in our office that may be stolen. Investigators to residence of buyer, permission fully given by man who purchased, including sharing the Bill of Sale he received at time of purchase….Trailer stolen out of Leon County some months back.
Saddened to hear of the death of Yrene Morgan of Wortham. She has worked in multiple jobs with different agencies and towns in our area for several years. A very sharp individual mentally with whom I had attended a multiple day class with just a few months back. The City of Teague lost a wealth of knowledge with her passing. Of course, that loss will not nearly compare to Owen's.
Teague VFD to grassfire, FM-1366. Fairfield VFD and Teague VFD to Big Brown on equipment fire. THDEMS to 3rd St., possible broken leg. Mr. Robin Wiley of Simsboro has passed away after an illness. About 87 years old. A real character, tough as a boot. Combat Marine Veteran of Guadalcanal, Tarawa and Saipan, Bronze Star Medal for Bravery and one Purple Heart. I need say no more…..You might say a very colorful old gent with an equally colorful vocabulary!
Boat motor stolen from transom of boat, FCR-481, sometime in last week, Dep. Brewer to same. TPD Scott Sykora arrests motorist on 4th at Ash, Marijuana in front pocket. Loose cattle, FM-488. FEMS and Kirvin VFD assist Lady with possible heart attack, FM-80 in Kirvin, Doctor Chopper summoned. THDEMS to West 84, allergic reaction to new prescription.
Deputies to altercation on FM-1365, one shot and killed. 911 Bounce in from Anderson County at Tucker, troubles with disgruntled employee, redirected to Anderson County S.O. TPD Scott Sykora arrests driver out of accident, 3rd and Maple, DWI. TPD Cox and Noll to Jail with man from disturbance on US-84, wanted out of Alabama for Escape and Burglary.
Mr. Elom to FCR-370, father of grandchild came by, drunk, left, No Trespass Notice to be served. Deputies to area of FCR-921, upon receiving call that man chasing men in white Scion who has been causing troubles for other family member, cell phone signal lost on his call, could never call him back, he never redialed, and nobody for either side ever located. Wortham VFD assists getting Lady back in wheelchair on N. 2nd.
Vehicle on side, LCR-937, transferred call to Limestone Co. S.O. Call comes in, FPD advised, group of people on Heather Street getting ready to fight. Report of Lady hanging on fence at North County Line, none found, hospitals called, nobody brought in by private vehicle. Sounds like it was a short career of being a fence post for her! TPD Sykora and Noll to possible gunshot through trailer, US- 84. Deputies Elom and House to reported assault in Kirvin.
TPD Cox and Noll arrest man on Warrant for Assault Family Violence, US-84. Deputy Harrison and DPS Putz to accident, IH-45 North. Deputy Diana Willis to September Sound, someone ran through gate. Deputy Aultman to East 84, troubles over newly mowed grass blowing on another's vehicle. Call comes in from Oakwood, police needed…..horse just hit caller's truck. Generally it is the other way around….but that is what was said, Leon County S.O. advised.
TPD Cordova and Sykora to Loud Music on Adams Street. Mexia EMS to Wortham High, young athlete has neck injury. Deputy Diana Willis to report of business deal gone sour. TPD Noll to Walnut, man fell, needs a little boost to get up. THDEMS to N. 7th, possible heart attack. FPD notified of possible thefts going on inside Family Dollar. FEMS and Doctor Chopper assisting man gravely ill, FCR- 1260.
Bull reported missing yesterday, found today, deep in a thicket, down and can't get up. Yep, it was easier considering this heat when he was just merely missing. Now, the troubles really start.

TPD Martin arrests DWI at Jefferson Park. FPD Matejowsky jails man, Driving While License Invalid (suspended due to DWI problems). Two hours later to Jail with another, exactly the same legal problem. Comm. Craig Oakes advised of tree down, FCR-661. More of same on West Moody in Fairfield. TPD Sykora to Heights St., someone trying to get in back door. Loose calf, Mile 188.
On FCR-1220, folks going door to door in a Suburban, offering to vacuum floors for pay. Deputies to FCR-930, antique shotgun either missing or stolen since April. Man in pickup on FM-80 has wife with him. Thought she was asleep. Now thinks she is dead. Met at Bodine's by Teague VFD and THDEMS…..Good news…..Alive!
Lady calls, same vehicle following her since Huntsville, making her very nervous. Dispatcher advises to pull in at exit. She did and he did. Deputies Brewer and Elom to same immediately. Officer Essary to Mile 211, pickup/trailer wreck. TPD Howard to Walnut, Lady says husband acting a fool. FEMS and Southern Oaks VFD to September Sound, man dizzy, pale. Electrical problems, smoke fire and sparks coming from pole. THDEMS to FM- 1365, Lady has knot on her head…..Now folks, I know what you immediately started thinking…..But, you're wrong….She thinks some type of bug bit her!
Deputy Harrison to Burger King, tempers flaring between two customers. Deputy Brewer checks welfare of Lady, FCR-540. Power line down at Teague airport, Oncor summoned. Deputies perform Civil standby, FM- 1365. Four officers all involved trying to respond to 911 Call, summoned as needing Officers quick. Turned out to be bogus, parents advised. Deputy Harrison Jails female, Probation Revocation.
FEMS to FCR-532, Diabetes Troubles. Man reports someone tried to break in his storage building on Cypress, TPD Martin to same. TxDOT advised of tree down, FM-1848. THDEMS to possible stroke, FCR-930. Deputy Harrison arrests man at residence on US-84, County Warrant. Deputy Robert Elom jails another, Probation Revocation.
FEMS and Butler VFD to breathing troubles, FCR-341. Comm. Luke ward advised of large tree down, FCR-321. More of same, FCR-536, power line broken.
Rain in select areas. Not much, but enough to settle the dust in those areas. Waiting for more….we hope!
