Fundamentals and competition . . . Girls’ hoop camp conducted

FUTURE LADY EAGLES participated in drills and competitions last week at a basketball camp held at Johnson Activity Center. Aspiring basketball players participated and won awards last week in the 2010 Fairfield Lady Eagles Camp.

The camp was conducted by Fairfield high school Lady Eagles head coach Stephen Heers and staff at Johnson Activity Center.

Campers took part in mass drills, 1-on-1 instruction and daily competitions.

Winners among 9-10 years old campers were: Josey Richardson, free throws; Britain Bossier, pop-a-shot; Kylie Swinson, layups; Anna Kaye, ball handling; and Lexie Bingham, most improved.

Picking up awards in the 7-8 years old group were: Bailey Morgan, free throws; Braeden Bossier, pop-a-shot; Kaylee Adams, layups; Paulette Vasquez, most improved; and Kaylee Adams, ball handling.

Most coachable camper was Braeden Bossier, Erin Rachel showed the most team spirit, Brianna Brown exhibited the best attitude, Aaryn Scires was best shooter, Britain Bossier was best hustler and Kaylee Barrett was best team player.

The Candy Freaks was selected for the most team spirit award.

Bree Bossier, Kylie Swinson, Karen Moore, Brianna Brown, Kaylee Adams, Cassidy Warren, Kyleigh Hudson, Allie Edwards, Emma Shaw and Kayli Banks.
