JEAN FARIAS A four and a half year stint in the navy, and regular workouts in Fairfield, helped 2005 FHS graduate Jean Farias earn his first trophy in bodybuilding this month.

Farias placed fifth at his first competition, the 2010 Fitness Training Studios Natural Fitness

roduction Championships held July 17 in Austin.

Although in good physical condition, Farias says he got interested in bodybuilding when a friend in the navy began competing.

When he was discharged and returned home in January of this year, Farias began working out at Lott Fitness Center with his girlfriend Ashton Foster of Buffalo.

He says he enjoys working out, and plans to continue competing.

The 24-year-old is attending Navarro College pursuing a degree in electrical and computer engineering and is employed with Freedom Electric.

He is the son of Magaly de Moura of Fairfield.
