Services were held Wednesday at Capps Memorial Chapel in Fairfield for Richard Bohannan, 77, of Oakwood, who died Monday in Fairfield.

Bill Nelson and Don Suits, II, officiated at the service, and interment was held at Parker Cemetery near Flo in Leon county.

Mr. Bohannan was born March 10, 1933 in Freestone county to parents, Charlie and Jessie Penland Bohannan. At the age of 10, along with his family, he moved to Hubbard. He returned to Freestone County in 1963.

Mr. Bohannan worked primarily as a painter and carpenter. He married Patricia Williams on September 21, 1986 in Oakwood. He attended Antioch Baptist Church for many years and more recently attended Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Patricia; one brother, Robert Bohannan of San Antonio; two sisters, Lendy Nelson of Cleveland, TX; and Loma Stone of Houston.
