The 12th annual Ike Carden Rodeo is set to run Saturday, July 17, at the W.L. Moody Reunion Grounds arena in Fairfield.

Gates open at 8 p.m. Admission is $8 for adults and $4 for children.

Books for rodeo participants are open from 6-10 p.m. Monday, July 12, at 409-860-0926.

Featured events at the rodeo are wild cow milking and a $1,000 bounty bullriding prize.

Young cowboys and cowgirls, ages six to 14, can compete in barrel racing and breakaway roping.

A country western and zydeco dance is slated immediately after the rodeo.

Premier rodeo sponsor this year is Sgt. Zachary Henderson of Baumholder, Germany.
