Ranch program set for July 15

Texas AgriLife Extension Service Offices in Limestone, Navarro, Freestone and Hill counties, along with the Natural Resource Conservation Service and the Grazing Land Conservation Initiative, will sponsor a ranch diversification program on Thursday, July 15 at the Mexia Civic Center.

The civic center is located at 101 S. McKinney St. Registration starts at 8 a.m. and the program starts at 8:30 a.m., concluding at 3:30 pm.

Judon Fambrough of the Texas Real Estate Center will cover landowner liability considerations while Dr. Jason Johnson of the Texas Agrilife Extension Service will present ideas on adding value to the area.

State Rep. Byron Cook will also be on hand to provide a legislative update.

There is a $10 registration fee, which covers a workbook and the lunch. To RSVP call the extension service by July 8.
