CORY BLACK . . . grand champion breeding hogs. A half dozen classes filled with 65 animals were run into Ike Carden Pavilion for breeding swine judging in the Freestone County Fair.

The start of the event was delayed a couple of hours last Wednesday morning because the judge failed to arrive and a substitute judge had to be secured.

When all was said and done, the grand champion animal was a Class 6 entry of Fairfield FFA member Cory Black.

The reserve grand champion was exhibited by Kallie Brown of Freestone 4-H Club.

Selected as senior showman was Blake Davis of Fairfield FFA, and Freestone 4-H member Abbey Hurst was junior showman.
