Frankie Jo Ratcliff

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 12, for Frankie Jo Jones Ratcliff, 67, who died June 2.

Rev. Cleo High officiated and Thomas C. Gilmore, Jr. was eulogist at the service, held at Westside Church of Christ in Mexia.

Mrs. Ratcliff was born Sept. 3, 1942 at the Panola county community to Willis and Parlee Jones. She was the youngest of nine children.

A graduate of Turner high school in Carthage, Mrs. Ratcliff also graduated from General Mexia Hospital Vocational School of Nursing in Mexia. She was a licensed vocational nurse for 42 years.

She retired from Mexia State School after 25 years, and continued to work part time there until her health failed.

Mrs. Ratcliff was baptized at Antioch Church of Christ in Marshall, and in 1967 she became a member of Westside Church of Christ in Mexia.

She married Alzo Ratcliff on April 10, 1965, and the couple was together for 45 years. They had two children and raised a special nephew.

Mrs. Ratcliff was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and two brothers.

Survivors are her husband Alzo Ratcliff of Mexia, children Willis Lee (Rolanda) Ratcliff, Jason Ratcliff and Harold Jones, all of Mexia, grandchildren Chantel and Chanel Ratcliff, Adrian, Brandon and Brandi Jones, all of Mexia, special niece Helen Spencer of Lancaster, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers were Obie Arnold, Anthony Asberry, Ktroy Brooks, Elijah Burks, Obituaries

IV, Charles Coleman, Cornelius Cooper, Thomas Dansby and Claude Sanders. Honorary pallbearers were the United Brother Hood.
