Sheriff's Report Number 493- DPS Curtis Putz leads off this week with a DWI jailed from IH-45. Lady catches stray horse, PR-936, ties him to the cattle guard if anybody calls to report one missing. Passing motorist reported man striking

woman in Oakwood, Leon Co. S.O. advised. 18 wheeler runs off pavement, hit the cable, Mile 194, DPS Adams, Putz and Deputy Robertson to same. Teague VFD, THDEMS and Doctor Chopper all involved with Lady who passed out on Walnut.

DPS Putz and Adams and Buffalo PD Officer Hutchinson to Mile 183, trailer broke loose from towing vehicle, rolled in median. Young children playing in street unsupervised near Teague VFD, TPD Cordova to same. Two cows out, US-79 east of Trinity River, Anderson County S.O. advised. Fairfield VFD and THDEMS to call on 87 year old man with numbness in arm, chest pain.

Lady at ER claims husband abused her. Husband says she hit him when he told her he wanted a divorce, Mister Elom trying to straighten out the mess. Deputy Robertson to complaint of underage drinking at Big Lake.

Cell phone report off IH-45 advises caller just saw a car go by with an infant car seat in the front passenger compartment. Could not tell if it held a child or not, just wanted to report it…..What? No, no, no, you are confused on the issue…..Unless you have further information, that is NOT a violation of the law….Full or empty, it is perfectly legal to have an infant car seat in the front or rear of a passenger car.

Butler VFD and FEMS to chest pains on FM-489. FEMS to South 75, possible broken leg. WPD Keathley to Domestic Troubles on Main. Caller reports pickup doing donuts at Fairfield City Park. THDEMS to Cedar, 15 year old experiencing numbness. Man turns self in at Jail on Probation Revocation. Thank you, Sir! FPD Gasaway arrests female driver on Montague County Warrant. Deputy Diana Willis to Family problems on East 84.

Deputies eliminate one chicken snake from Courthouse Square. Burglar alarm activates on FM-416, Deputy Harrison to same, man hired by owner discovered, power-washing house. That is what set it off. Officer Peters and JP Mays to Natural Death, Streetman. Goats of unknown ownership tearing up a yard on FM-27. Call comes in from Lady in Montgomery, Texas, reporting 4-Wheelers stolen from their property on FM-80, sometime in last 23 hours, from behind locked gate. Deputies headed to scene when another call from local man connected to Montgomery caller that he has found one of the 4-Wheelers near local Church. So, it turned out to be one rather than two stolen. Deputies working on same. TPD Cox to Mobile Home Park on US-84, door kicked in.

THDEMS to Lady with bad cramps. Dep. Diana Willis to vandalized mail boxes. TPD Sykora, Brewer and Martin and Deputy Robertson to potential problems between men on street, large crowd, Busby and Monroe. One young man intentionally gave wrong name and date of birth, advised of correct information by his father who arrived and gave correct information. One charge for Failure to Identify by Fugitive From Justice and also the Dallas County warrant which was yielded on his correct name and date of birth for Evading Arrest and or Detention. 18 Wheeler on Hwy. 14 reported riding on a rim, throwing sparks, next report says pulled in at tire repair shop. Fairfield VFD to unattended fire in ditch, FCR- 941. WPD Keathley to Hemale/Shemale Troubles on Ave. D.

911 Call comes in from Wortham, call abandoned, Dispatcher dialed it back, a little mistake, caller trying to make Overseas call to India…..911 is part of their area code over there! FPD advised of prowler problems outside daughter's bedroom window, US-84. WPD Keathley to Domestic Problems between Girlfriend/Boyfriend, Hwy. 14. TPD to troubles on Jackson, one man says he was jumped by another.

FEMS to IH-45, Mile 202, Lady driver, aged 41 years, thinks she is having heart or stroke troubles, chest hurts, arm numb. She is wise to take the precaution of calling and seeking help, many of us wouldn't until too late! Longest sustained rain in good while falling. Wonderful! Transformer Troubles in Teague near Jefferson Park. FEMS to Oakridge Drive, pain in leg after surgery. FEMS and Deputy House to FCR-430, Husband/Wife Troubles, got physical, husband tried to choke her, suffocate her, then drown her…..But, apparently when common sense re-prevailed…… It was he who dialed 911! Now in Jail.

WPD Keathley and Peters to local store in Wortham, one assaulting the other with a broom. FEMs to local eatery on Interstate, severe stomach pains. Call advises of lights out on N. Tyus in Groesbeck, Limestone Co. S.O. advised of same. Smoke in house at another Groesbeck residence on Navasota, transferred to that County. Vehicle stalled out in high water by Groesbeck Post Office. Accident at Mile 209, DPS Sandifer, Deputy Willis, FEMS and Streetman VFD to same. More vehicles running off pavement during rain. Dog Bite problems at ER from Donie.

More accidents in Limestone County, all their circuits busy, all overages being redirected into our 911. Limestone got lots of rain and flooding, glad to assist ease their workload. Tree across road, Old Palestine Road. Officers to/from Hidalgo County, prisoner transport, a long haul. DPS Kyle Purnell to accident in Kirvin area, Lady intoxicated, to Jail DWI. FEMS and Southern Oaks VFD to FCR-196, bit by Copperhead. Dep. Aultman to report of Indecent Exposure at Rest Area, IH-45. DPS Purnell, THDEMS and Teague VFD to accident, West 84. Game Wardens assisting near Limestone/Navarro county line….rescuing folks off rooftops in Pin Oak Creek area.

Mailbox destruction near Wortham on FM-27, some bumper parts left on scene. Missing 5 year old, outside, playing, disappeared…..located thank goodness. He and his dog took a little stroll, just as little boys have been doing since time began. Man on S. Post in Oakwood having chest pains, transferred call to Leon Co. S.O. DPS Sandifer arrests motorist on IH-45, Navarro County Traffic Warrants. Another call advises of road blocked in Oakwood due to a party, with Leon Co. S.O. again advised.

Vehicle at Teague Club Lake cuts donuts in yard, Deputy Elom to same. Deputy Harrison arrests man at residence on DWI Warrant. Commissioner Luke ward advised of tree down, FCR- 445. FEMS to FHS Gym, possible head injury. THDEMS to US-84, pregnant Lady unable to walk. FEMS to FCR-530, seizures. DPS Sandifer and Deputies to cow/car accident, FM-27. Report of persons throwing items off overpass onto traffic below, Ezell Crossing, Mile 183.

Deputies House and Robertson to complaint on loud party, plenty of shenanigans, FCR-971, New Hope Cemetery, when they arrived, found one vehicle still present. Serious call from Anderson County advises father having heart attack, call transferred to Anderson Co. S.O. 4-year old boy bitten by gopher on Sunset. FEMS to Gregg Street, older Lady not responsive. Also to James Street, man very weak, can't stand on his own.

Pickup reported completely submerged at Southern Oaks, backed into Lake at the boat dock. Loose bull, FCR-111. Teague PD to MLK where 10 year old had to run from white pickup, man trying to get 10 year old to get in the pickup with him. That 10 year old knew just what to do…..He rode his bike straight to Grandma's house, she'll take care of him! And she did. TPD Howard to same, assisted by Dep. Harrison.

FEMS to Boyd unit, possible broken leg. DPS Adams, Streetman VFD and FEMS to accident, Mile 211. Deputy Harrison to three saddles stolen, FCR-1080. And just to the south, a 4-Wheeler removed from a garage on FCR-1150 TPD Travis Martin arrests young man on Ash who apparently had no pockets…..That must have been the case, since he kept his Marijuana stuffed in his undershorts! Later got another, more Marijuana plus an Outstanding Warrant, besides trying to pass himself off with the wrong name, assisted by TPD Monks.

Theft of four-wheeler taken from FCR-751 cleared, as was forged checks from FCR-356. TPD Sykora to trailer burglarized, US-84. TPD Sykora, Martin and Monks to Monroe, Lady's sons are trying to fight. FEMS to two problems at Johnson Activity Center, asthma attack and pain in leg. FEMS and Butler VFD to FCR- 340, 17 year old hyperventilating.

Man meets THDEMS on Hwy-179, wife feared having heart attack, carried to Parkview Regional in Mexia. Man turns self in at our Jail on Bell County Warrant. FEMS to East Main, young Lady just started shaking uncontrollably. FEMS and Butler VFD to FCR-271, altered mental status. Also to Davis, dehydration suspected.

By the time you read this the County Fair will be in midstride….. Remember: Dress lightly, drink plenty of water, stay in the shade and take plenty of money!
