Larry (Black Jack) Henry, Jr.
Funeral services were held Saturday for Larry (Black Jack) Henry, Jr., who died May 31 at Hillcrest Medical Center of Waco. Viewing was Friday at Moore’s Angelic Funeral Home.
Officiating at the service, held at First United Methodist Church in Wortham, were Elder Billy J. Freeman and Elder Tass Betts. Interment was in the Wortham Cemetery.
Mr. Henry was born April 16, 1957, and was the son of the late Willie Mae Hall Thomas and George Henry. He attended Wortham public schools and was baptized in the Canaan Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in the Springfield community of Mexia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his stepfather Jake Thomas and two grandchildren Labreesha Johnson and Princanna Strain.
Survivors are his daughters Nickoll Henry and Natalie Henry, both of Waco, son Larry Henry, III, also of Waco, stepdaughter Lisa Johnson and husband, Byron, Sr. of Plano, two sisters Linda and husband, Ricky, of Mexia, and Lisa Wade and husband of Garland, two brothers Lanny Henry and wife, Mary, of Mexia, and Brian Blanton and wife, Leslie of Whitewright, eight grandchildren, uncles Bobby Allen and wife, Betty, of Ft. Worth, and Emmitt Wayne (E. W.) Hall, of Houston, aunt Judy Maston of Ft. Worth;
Special nieces, Kimyetta Milus and Candice Bluitt, of Mexia, special cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.
