Four high school seniors from Freestone and surrounding counties were awarded scholarships recently by the Freestone County Goat Breeders Association.

$500 scholarships were given to Genea Cannon of Teague high school, who will attend Stephen F. Austin State University, Tamara Lee of Groesbeck high school, who will go to Texas A&M at Kingsville;

Denai Drummond of Groesbeck high school, who will attend Tarleton State University and Travis Perez of Malakoff high school, who will attend the Art Institute of Dallas to study business and photography.
