(A summary of recent activity of Fairfield Police Department.)

May 24

2:35 a.m.—Officers Tiner and Markham on report of truck traveling south in northbound lane. Unable to locate.

9:36 a.m.—Officer Kindon on 9-1-1 hang-up. Nobody at the residence.

11 a.m.—Officer Gasaway to police department to meet a complainant.

6:09 p.m.—Officers Matejowsky and Frasier attempted to locate vehicle involved in a hit-and-run.

6:25 p.m.—Officers on alarm at bank. All okay.

7:17 p.m.—Officer on alarm at phone store.

8:18 p.m.—Officers to police department to meet a complainant.

10:36 p.m.—Officers on alarm call at Barn Stop convenience store.

May 25

2:10 a.m.—Officers assisted stranded motorist.

3:15 a.m.—Officers to suspicious vehicle.

5:35 a.m.—Officer Kindon responded to an alarm at Scott’s Collision. The keyholder was notified.

12:56 p.m.—Officer Kindon assisted with a car that was on fire.

1:24 p.m.—Officer Gasaway assisted animal control with loose kittens.

8:42 p.m.—Officers Frasier and Matejowsky arrested subject on outstanding warrants while on a traffic stop.

May 26

9 a.m.—Cpl. Green presented cases to the grand jury.

9:45 a.m.—Officer Gallegos assisted with medical call.

2:15 p.m.—Cpl. Green met with a complainant in reference to threats.

4 p.m.—Officer Gallegos and Cpl. Green met with complainant in reference to burglary of a habitation.

7:30 p.m.—Officers responded to the 100 block of E. Commerce Street on an alarm call at Cellular One. The building was found to be secure.

May 27

7:45 a.m.—Sgt. Warren arrested a subject while on a traffic stop at Valero gas station.

3:35 p.m.—Officer Gallegos met with complainant in reference to a civil matter.

5:05 p.m.—Officer Gallegos dispatched to Love’s Travel Center in reference to traffic problems.

8:10 p.m.—Officer Tiner dispatched to Oak Street in reference to a civil matter.

May 28

2 p.m.—Officer Gasaway dispatched to Fred’s store in reference to a disgruntled customer. The subject was issued a criminal trespass warning and advised to leave the property and not return.

6:40 p.m.—Sgt. Warren observed a vehicle parked off in the grass at the city park with doors open and nobody around. Identified the owner and advised the vehicle had to be moved.

10:21 p.m.—Sgt. Warren dispatched to the west service road of I-45 in reference to a vehicle that was obstructing the roadway.

May 29

4:45 a.m.—Officers Frasier and Matejowsky assisted the Department of Public Safety with taking a statement from a subject that was involved in a motor vehicle accident. The accident occurred in Limestone county and the subject possibly fled the scene.

6:20 a.m.—Officer Gasaway dispatched to Lone Star Grill and Cantina on an alarm.

10:25 a.m.—Officer Kindon met with a complainant in reference to a civil matter.

8:05 p.m.—Sgt. Warren assisted a constable in reference to a vehicle failing to stop coming into Fairfield city limits.

May 30

9 a.m.—Officer Gasaway observed a suspicious vehicle parked at Steward and McDonald streets. Subject identified in the vehicle and was a worker waiting on other employees.

1:39 p.m.—Officer Gasaway assisted the fire department with a car fire at Pizza Hut restaurant.
