Three Wortham junior high school students recently competed and claimed top awards in a sciece fair held at Mexia junior high school.

WORTHAM JUNIOR HIGH students, l-r, Ashley Anderson, Kendle Rhodes and Drew Jenkins recently claimed high honors at science fairs. Taking first place in physics was Drew Jenkins, Kendle Rhodes won in the environmental management category and Ashley Anderson places second in chemistry.

First place winners received $40 each and all three won tickets to Six Flags.

Earlier this year Miss Rhodes took first at the Central Texas Science and Engineering Fair in Waco and advanced to state competition in April at San Antonio.
