Pause for Paws . .

New Leash on Life Animal Shelter

Once again, we, at New Leash on Life, are asking for your immediate financial support.

This time an anonymous donor has come forward to match funds up to $7,500 until Oct. 1, 2010. Our animal shelter is in need of approximately $17,000 to operate until then. At that time we hope to receive funds from our county and cities for the next budget year.

We ask that you give what you can as soon as possible. The quicker we raise $7,500 the quicker we receive the matching $7,500 and then we will only need to raise an estimated $2,000 more to get us through September.

The donations have to be verifiable as in a check or a receipt for cash donations. New Leash on Life will turn in all donation receipts up through the 20th of each month and will receive our matching funds on the first day of the following month.

This excludes any monies given by governmental entities, such as city, county, state, etc.

As a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization, your tax deductible donation will be matched and the sooner we reach this goal, we can focus on adoptions and repairs to the kennels instead of constantly asking for money!

You can send your donation to New Leash on Life, P.O. Box 1605, Fairfield.

Thank you so much!

Rufus and Sale Barn are current graduates of Marjorie Park’s dog obedience academy.

Rufus was top graduating senior for the fall semester of 2009 and Sale Barn is the top graduating senior for the spring semester of 2010. Both of these dogs are smart, great companions, extremely easy to work with, and are dogs that came from rescue shelters.

Rufus joined the Keith Ritz family at Donie at age seven months and Sale Barn at two months. Sale Barn had a little ADD in the beginning but in the spring class he progressed from remedial to gifted in one semester.

These dogs demonstrate, very effectively, that many shelter/rescue dogs are highly intelligent and make excellent companions.

Please check with your local shelters/rescue groups when you are thinking about adopting a family pet.

Rufus and Sale Barn will be working toward their masters degrees attending advanced classes at Park’s Obedience Academy this summer.
